Job Summary Town Dental is looking to add a part time Dental Hygienist for Tuesdays & Wedenday. We are a dental practice that strives for excellence in all we do and uses the latest technology to improve our patients dental experience. Single provider with small, close knit team. We are looking for a someone who is an energetic self-starter with excellent chairside skills, great communication skills and attention to detail. We want someone who has a desire to be a team player, someone who is fun-loving with a natural smile and who delivers the highest quality comprehensive care and customer service. New grads are welcome. Eaglesoft experience is a plus. License/Certification: Registered Dental Hygienist License (Required) Nitrous Oxide & Local Anesthesia Certification (Required) Responsibilities Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays or dental impressions Assist the dentist with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies Skills Proven experience as Dental Hygienist In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA) Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job Diploma in Dental Hygiene Valid license to practice in the state of WA Job Type: Part-time Pay: $55.00 - $62.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Work Location: In person
