HYGIENIST Mountain Vista Dental is a general dental practice in White Salmon, WA. We are seeking a part time hygienist for 1 to 3 days a week. When you visit Mountain Vista Dental you will feel the difference between our practice and other dental offices. Our amazing team at Mountain Vista will provide long-term, comprehensive and quality dental care to our patients. HYGIENE PHILOSOPHY: We believe in the importance of treating periodontal disease and evaluating pocket depth, gingival recession, attachment, bleeding, inflammation, bone loss patterns and mobility. We appreciate informing the dentist of your findings and educating our patients on oral health and hygiene. New grads and experienced hygienists welcome to apply. Must have all Washington Hygiene certifications, and Washington hygiene license, and up to date CE. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure patients feel comfortable before their examination Sterilize dental instruments properly Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis Clean and help protect patients’ teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride) Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques) Give instructions to patients after operations or other dental procedures Take X-rays or dental impressions Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer) Maintain documentation and charts on each patient Monitor supplies PART TIME LIMITED BENEFITS: paid time off, paid sick, paid vacation, 401k retirement plan with a 3% match and dental care.
