Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting in various dental procedures. This role requires a thorough understanding of dental terminology, infection control, and patient assessment to ensure optimal oral health for our patients. Duties Conduct comprehensive dental cleanings and assessments for patients of all ages, including pediatric dentistry. Perform vital signs monitoring and medical imaging as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide instructions for at-home care. Utilize EMR systems effectively to document patient interactions and treatment plans. Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols within the dental clinic. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and improve overall clinic efficiency. Requirements Proven experience in a dental office or clinic setting, with a strong background in general dentistry and pediatric care preferred. Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and medical coding is beneficial. Strong understanding of dental assisting practices, including chairside assisting techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and provide quality care in a timely manner. Familiarity with infection control standards and practices within a clinical environment.
