Permanent Dental Receptionist / Front Desk Job in Weston, WI

Overview Join our dental team as a Dental Assistant and become an essential part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists by preparing treatment rooms, assisting during procedures, and ensuring patients feel comfortable and cared for. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help us maintain a high standard of patient care in a fast-paced, friendly environment. Responsibilities · Seat patients in treatment room. · Verify and update health history. · Attend to the patients when doctor is out of the room. · Know the steps for each dental procedures and assist the doctor throughout the procedure. · Give patient post op instructions and care and demonstrate when necessary. · Properly chart and update procedures rendered and potential post op care along with the patientâs next visit. · Perform clinical procedures as practice act allows and as directed by the doctor. · Escort the patient to the front desk and follow through with a proper two on one transfer with the front desk to ensure patients get checked out properly as well as scheduled correctly for their next visit. · Monitor patient and office flow. · Keep the operatories stocked, clean and ready for the next patient. · Disinfect operatories according to OSHA regulations. · Sterilize all instruments and handpieces according to OSHA regulations. · Package and prepare all lab cases to be sent to the lab. · Check in coming lab cases for accuracy. · Follow preventative and maintenance/cleaning schedules. · Assist patients or guardians with referral contact information. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred. Proficiency with Dentrix is essential for managing medical records efficiently. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and procedure steps enhances your ability to support comprehensive patient care. Hands-on experience with dental X-ray procedures. Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic technique, and sterilization processes is required to uphold safety standards. Ability to perform chairside assisting in general dentistry procedures including prosthodontics and endodontics ensures versatile support across multiple specialties.
