Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dental Receptionist to join our vibrant dental practice. Duties Greet patients warmly and professionally, ensuring a positive first impression Schedule appointments efficiently using dental practice management software such as Dentrix Verify insurance coverage and benefits, including Medicare and Medicaid, ensuring accurate billing and claims processing Manage patient check-in and check-out processes with attention to detail in documentation review and data entry Handle multi-line phone systems with courteous phone etiquette, addressing patient inquiries promptly Maintain accurate dental records, medical records, and office files while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Process payments, perform medical collection tasks, and assist with billing using EMR systems Assist with insurance verification, claims submission, and follow-up to optimize revenue cycle management Support clinic operations by coordinating care plans, reviewing documentation, and managing appointment schedules Qualifications Proven experience as a Dental Receptionist in a busy clinical setting Strong knowledge of dental terminology and billing procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Meditech, Athenahealth, Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly preferred Excellent computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and office management software Ability to handle sensitive patient information in accordance with HIPAA standards Exceptional customer service skills with friendly phone etiquette and professional demeanor Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve diverse patient populations Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment Experience with insurance verification processes and medical administrative support is highly desirable Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patientsâ lives while advancing your career in healthcare administration!
