Responsibilities Assist the orthodontist during procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and optimal patient comfort. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take photos and X-rays as needed, while adhering to safety standards and HIPAA regulations. Utilize dental software such as Cloud 9 Orthodontic Software managing patient records and medical documentation. Provide chairside support during orthodontic treatments, including the use of 3D scanners when applicable. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions. Maintain accurate medical records and assist with scheduling appointments as needed. Collaborate with the entire team to ensure high-quality patient care. Qualifications Previous experience as an Orthodontic Assistant. Must have previous dental and preferably orthodontic assisting experience. Proficient knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices is essential. Familiarity with Cloud 9 Orthodontic Software is a plus. Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented environment.
