Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, provide oral hygiene instructions, and assist the dentist during procedures. Duties: - Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing of teeth - Conduct patient assessments and document medical history - Take and develop dental x-rays - Administer local anesthesia as needed - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions - Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic dental software (Eagle Soft) Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures - Monitor vital signs of patients during treatment Skills: - Proficient in dental assisting techniques and procedures - Excellent knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions - Strong understanding of medical documentation and recordkeeping - Familiarity with dental software systems (Eagle Soft) for patient management - Ability to assess patient needs and provide appropriate care recommendations - Skilled in taking accurate dental x-rays - Knowledgeable in administering local anesthesia Strong communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral hygiene practices Qualifications: - Valid Dental Hygiene license in [STATE] - Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygiene program - CPR certification We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages, including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
