Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team! Responsibilities Assist the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures, including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready. Take and develop X-ray images using advanced medical imaging equipment while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage electronic medical records (EMR systems) such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Epic to ensure accurate documentation of patient histories and treatment plans. Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures. Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques and knowledge of anatomy to prevent cross-contamination. Support the front desk team as a dental receptionist by managing appointments, patient check-ins, and medical documentation. Utilize 3D scanners and other digital tools for precise diagnostics and treatment planning. Demonstrate proficiency in dental terminology Uphold HIPAA standards by safeguarding patient information at all times. Collaborate with the team in four-handed dentistry practices to enhance efficiency and patient experience. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a busy dental clinic or healthcare setting. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic is highly preferred. Knowledge of infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, and sterilization processes. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while maintaining safety standards. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Competence in chairside assisting during various dental procedures including endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry treatments. Certification as a Dental Assistant from an accredited program is required. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and support the dental team’s objectives.
