Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients while ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the practice. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a sterile and organized environment. Perform four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Manage patient records using Eaglesoft software, including updating medical histories and treatment plans. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Monitor vital signs as necessary before, during, and after procedures. Ensure compliance with infection control protocols to maintain a safe clinical environment. Assist with pediatric patients, providing comfort and support during their visits. Support prosthodontic procedures by preparing materials and instruments as required. Handle medical coding for insurance purposes accurately. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided. Knowledge of infection control practices in a dental setting is essential. Familiarity with prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry is advantageous. Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar dental software is preferred. Ability to take and process X-rays safely and effectively. Strong communication skills with the ability to interact positively with patients of all ages. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are required.
