Job Overview Hi. We are looking for a long term dental assistant that will be an integral part of our office. We are looking for someone that will be interested in growing within the practice and is ready for 4 handed dentistry. Duties Assist the dentist with various procedures, including restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and setting up necessary dental supplies and equipment Take high-quality X-rays and operate dental imaging devices such as 3D scanners while adhering to safety protocols Ensure patient comfort by explaining procedures, taking vital signs, and practicing aseptic technique throughout all interactions Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in dentrix ascend Follow infection control protocols aligned with HIPAA regulations to protect patient information and ensure clinic safety Support front desk operations as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing medical records Qualifications Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) with current licensure Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Experience in chairside assisting across general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, and other specialties Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental procedures Skilled in taking X-rays, operating dental imaging equipment including 3D scanners, and performing vital signs assessment Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures Familiarity with dental assisting tools and techniques such as four-handed dentistry and medical coding Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patientsâ lives!
