Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Clifton, NJ

Position: Part-time to start then full-time in August Are you a skilled and compassionate dental assistant looking for a dynamic and rewarding opportunity? We are currently seeking a part-time Dental Assistant to help us provide excellent patient care while assisting our dentists in delivering top-tier treatment. The position will be full time in August. Key Job Responsibilities: As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the best care possible. Your primary responsibilities will include: Prepare Patients for Treatment: Escort patients to treatment areas and ensure they are comfortable and ready for procedures. Assist During Treatment: Support the dentist during exams and treatments, passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment. Tray Setups & Supply Management: Prepare tray setups for various procedures and maintain an organized, stocked operatory. Ensure all supplies are replenished as needed. Sterilization of Instruments: Sterilize dental instruments and equipment according to health and safety regulations. Lab Case Organization: Log, organize, and track all lab cases to ensure timely processing and accuracy. Ordering & Cataloging Supplies: Order dental supplies as necessary and ensure inventory is managed properly. Patient Education: Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions and post-operative care information to ensure optimal recovery. Digital Oral Scanning: Assist in taking digital scans as part of treatment procedures. Patient Records: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the practice management system. Requirements: Previous experience as a Dental Assistant 3-5 years . Knowledge of Dentrix/Dexis . Xray license required . Knowledge of dental instruments, sterilization protocols, and office management software. Excellent communication skills and a friendly, patient-centered approach. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus . What We Offer: Competitive salary and benefits package.
