Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) / Dental Assistant (DA) to join our dynamic dental team. In this role, you will support the delivery of exceptional patient care by assisting the dentist during procedures, managing patient flow, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. Your expertise in dental assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will contribute to creating a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable and cared for. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorative, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control protocols are strictly followed Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including digital imaging and 3D scans, while maintaining patient safety standards in compliance with HIPAA regulations Manage patient records accurately using EMR systems such as Dentrix o; document treatment details and medical history thoroughly Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients with special needs or pediatric cases to ensure safety throughout procedures Provide chairside assistance with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency during appointments Educate patients on post-treatment care, dental terminology, and preventive practices to promote oral health awareness Requirements Valid RDA or DA license in accordance with state licensing requirements; certification in dental assisting preferred Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or we can train you. Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures within dental settings Ability to operate dental equipment including X-ray machines, and panoramic Xray. Strong understanding of dental terminology Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages and coordinate with team members such as dental receptionists and other assistants.
