Job ID: R1030569 Type: Part Time Location: Camden, New Jersey Standard Hours: 24 Shift: 1st Shift Summary: We are a busy, patient-focused dental practice looking for a friendly and experienced Per Diem Dental Hygienist to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants a consistent part-time schedule with some flexibility to pick up extra days when our full-time hygienist is on vacation. You’ll be caring for both adult and pediatric patients in a supportive, team-oriented environment. The Dental Hygienist cleans and maintains teeth of both children and adult patients enabling Dentist to perform more complicated procedures. The Hygienist will help maintain patient volume when the Dentist is on out of the office. Position Responsibilities: Cleaning and maintaining teeth of both children and adults. Responsible for exposing, processing, mounting, intraoral and panoramic dental radiographic x-rays, maintaining dental records of patients, providing preventive care, including sealants and fluoride treatments as well as nutritional counseling. Responsible for sterilization and disinfection of dental instruments. Sets up hygiene trays for dental hygiene procedures. Responsible for setting up and disinfecting of the dental patient rooms before and after patient procedures. Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required: 1-3 plus years of experience preferred. Required Education: Graduation from an accredited Dental Hygienist program with a AAS or BS degree required. Training/Certifications/Licensure: Registration for Dental Hygienist credentials must be current and up to date.
