Duties Prepare treatment rooms with all necessary instruments and materials, ensuring a sterile environment through proper aseptic technique. Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays , accurately documenting findings in electronic medical records (EMR systems) Dentrix. Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to ensure patient safety throughout their visit. Manage patient flow by greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, and updating medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all dental equipment is properly sterilized and functioning correctly. Support general dentistry procedures while demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding standards. Skills Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic for managing patient records efficiently. Experience with dental imaging techniques including X-ray and 3D scanner technology. Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques within a dental clinic setting. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry to optimize workflow during procedures. Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles to provide compassionate care for young patients. Familiarity with dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding to accurately document treatments.
