Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibility will be to perform dental cleanings, provide oral hygiene instructions, and assist the dentist in various procedures. Duties: - Perform dental cleanings to remove plaque, tartar, and stains from patients' teeth - Conduct thorough oral examinations to assess the overall oral health of patients - Take and develop dental x-rays as necessary - Administer nitrous oxide sedation when required - Assist the dentist during dental procedures such as fillings, extractions, and crowns - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized home care instructions - Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and medical history accurately in electronic health record systems (Epic) - Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and excellent patient care - Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to aseptic techniques - Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene techniques and technologies Skills: - Proficient in medical documentation and electronic health record systems - Strong patient assessment skills and ability to identify oral health issues - Solid understanding of dental anatomy and oral diseases - Excellent infection control practices to ensure patient safety - Familiarity with CAD/CAM technology for digital impressions is a plus - Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with other dental professionals We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
