Permanent Dental Assistant Job in Gold River, CA
Overview: We are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our team. As a DA you will play a crucial role in assisting our dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice. Duties: - Assist dentists during dental procedures, including general dentistry and specialty treatments - Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and procedures - Take and record vital signs of patients - Perform dental x-rays and maintain accurate records - Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment - Provide chairside assistance to dentists during procedures - Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care - Infection control - Intraoral scanning Qualifications: - Completion of an accredited Dental Assistant program - Proficiency in dental software systems (e.g., Open Dental) - Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology - Experience in infection control protocols and practices - Ability to take accurate dental x-rays - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members - Proficiency and knowledge of current OSHA safety guidelines.
