Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow and patient comfort. Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment according to infection control protocols. Take dental X-rays and ensure proper safety measures are followed. Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage appointment scheduling and assist with administrative tasks as needed, including reception duties. Support pediatric dentistry by creating a welcoming environment for young patients and their families. Utilize Eaglesoft software for managing patient information and appointments efficiently. Qualifications Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate. Knowledge of medical terminology, infection control procedures, and aseptic techniques is essential. Familiarity with pediatric dentistry practices is a plus. Proficiency in using dental software such as Eaglesoft is advantageous. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining professionalism at all times. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
