Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in dental assisting procedures, excellent patient care skills. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting dentists during procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all necessary supplies are available for procedures. Assist dentists during a variety of treatments including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic and oral surgery Take dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology such as 3D scanners while adhering to safety protocols. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, suctioning, and maintaining a clear working field during procedures. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care to promote overall dental health. Perform vital signs assessment and monitor patient comfort throughout treatment sessions. Maintain strict infection control protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination within the clinic environment. Stay updated on current dental terminology and documentation standards to accurately record procedures and treatment plans. Skills knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience with X-ray techniques and operating imaging equipment including 3D scanners for comprehensive diagnostics. Expertise in chairside assisting across general dentistry disciplines including endodontics, prosthodontics. Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety at all times. Ability to perform vital signs assessment accurately Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to medical records privacy and security compliance. Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients, team members, and external providers. Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail in all clinical procedures.
