Responsibilities Assist dentists during general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures with precision and professionalism Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental tools, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly Take and develop X-ray images while adhering to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols Manage patient records using EMR systems such as OpenDental or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and records Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Support administrative tasks including dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and maintaining organized medical files Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy (2 years of experience) Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with Epic is a plus Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and sterilization procedures Ability to perform digital X-ray imaging accurately while following safety guidelines Knowledge of pediatric dentistry principles and experience working with pediatric patients preferred Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and healthcare providers Certification in dental assisting or relevant training; additional certifications in medical coding or endodontics are advantageous Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills directly impact patientsâ smiles!
