Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant II for FEE FOR SERVICE ONLY OFFICE(NO MEDICAID/MEDICARE), where your expertise will help deliver exceptional patient care in a steady-paced, supportive environment. In this role, you will assist dentists during a variety of procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and safety. Your proficiency with dental technology and patient communication will contribute to a positive experience for every individual who walks through our doors. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general dentistry while working with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and sterilized equipment following aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Assist dentists during procedures such as restorations, endodontics, prosthodontics, and implant services, ensuring smooth workflow with four-handed dentistry techniques. Take digital dental radiographs (X-ray), including 3D scans, ensuring proper positioning and safety measures in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records accurately using dental software Eaglesoft, including updating medical and dental histories, vital signs, and medical documentation. Provide chairside assistance by handling dental terminology efficiently and supporting procedures involving dental anatomy knowledge. Educate patients on post-treatment care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment plans while maintaining excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist when needed. Adhere to all infection control standards, including proper sterilization of instruments and maintaining a clean clinical environment. Assist with turning over room for hygienist and restocking operatories. Support the dental team by managing appointment scheduling, patient flow, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for all our patients. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is required, ideally with exposure to general dentistry, endodontics, prosthodontics, or implant dentistry. Demonstrated proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft is preferred for efficient record management. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical documentation is mandatory. Experience handling X-ray digital imaging (must) and 3D scanning technology (preferred). Familiarity with infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge relevant to dental assisting roles. Ability to work effectively in a steady-paced environment supporting the dentist in procedures simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
