Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify insurance coverage, and manage appointment scheduling using dental practice management software such as Dentrix Ascend Perform patient intake procedures, including updating medical histories and reviewing documentation for accuracy Assist dental providers during procedures by preparing instruments, taking x-rays, and maintaining sterilization protocols Verify insurance benefits, process claims, and follow up on outstanding payments Manage medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations through proper documentation review and health information management practices Operate multi-line phone systems with professional phone etiquette to schedule appointments, answer patient inquiries, and coordinate clinic communications Maintain a clean, organized front desk area while managing office supplies, filing systems, and electronic health records (EHR systems) such as eClinicalWorks or Dentrix Experience Prior clinic or dental office experience is highly preferred, especially in a busy healthcare environment with direct patient service responsibilities Demonstrated proficiency with medical administrative support tasks including insurance verification, appointment scheduling, and medical billing Strong knowledge of dental terminology Experience working with dental software like Dentrix Ascend is highly advantageous Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel), typing (including 10-key), and digital filing systems Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve diverse patient populations Exceptional customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette to create a positive patient experience Join us in creating a friendly atmosphere where patients feel cared for from the moment they walk through the door.
