Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Part-Time Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages. In this role, you will support dentists during various procedures, ensure smooth clinic operations, and deliver exceptional patient care. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are ready for patient appointments Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging equipment such as 3D scanners and medical imaging tools Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures Maintain infection control standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures Support front desk activities by assisting with dental receptionist duties, scheduling appointments, and managing medical documentation and records Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic; experience with medical coding and documentation is a plus Strong understanding of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and accurately while maintaining patient comfort Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices is highly desirable Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, team members, and healthcare providers Certification in dental assisting or relevant training in medical terminology preferred Flexibility to work part-time hours with the ability to adapt to a busy dental clinic environment Join us in making a difference by providing top-quality dental care in a supportive atmosphere.
