Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support the delivery of exceptional dental care. In this vital role, you will assist dentists during procedures, manage patient records, and ensure the clinic operates smoothly and efficiently. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to positive patient experiences and uphold the highest standards of infection control and safety. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and supplies for various dental procedures. Assist dentists chairside during examinations, restorations, endodontic treatments, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry procedures. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging equipment such as 3D scanners, ensuring proper technique and patient comfort. Manage patient records accurately while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout treatments. Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed using aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination. Support front desk operations by coordinating appointments, managing medical documentation, and handling patient inquiries as a dental receptionist. Skills Proficiency in Dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, medical imaging, and taking X-rays. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and aseptic techniques. Experience with EMR systems such as OpenDental for managing medical records and documentation. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with skills in general dentistry procedures and pediatric dentistry support. Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures and experience working in a dental clinic setting. Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists, hygienists, specialists in endodontics or prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry professionals.
