Dental Assistant/Sterilization Tech - Miami Healthy Smiles - Pinecrest, FL

Duties: - Assist the dentist during dental procedures - Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments - Take and develop dental x-rays - Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care - Perform patient assessments, including taking vital signs and medical history - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic - Assist with dental laboratory procedures, including pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and taking impressions - Perform basic dental procedures, such as applying fluoride treatments and sealants - Manage inventory of dental supplies and equipment - Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment -Help with front desk as needed -Be a team player Requirements: -MUST speak English - High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of an accredited dental assisting program or equivalent work experience - Current certification in dental radiography (X-ray certification) - Knowledge of pediatric dentistry is preferred - Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with CAD software for digital impressions - Familiarity with medical coding and documentation practices - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages - Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Note: This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position.
