Insurance & Billing Coordinator (Pediatric Dental Focus) Our office is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive and well-organized environment. We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Insurance & Billing Coordinator with strong experience in dental insurance and a willingness to support front desk operations alongside our team. Position Overview This role is responsible for managing insurance claims, billing, and accounts receivable while also supporting front desk operations to ensure an efficient and positive patient experience. Key Responsibilities Insurance & Billing: Submit, track, and manage insurance claims with a focus on accuracy and timely reimbursement Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits, and limitations (including frequency and age-based rules) Follow up on outstanding claims, denials, and appeals with persistence and attention to detail Post insurance and patient payments accurately Maintain and manage accounts receivable, with a focus on reducing aging balances Communicate effectively with insurance carriers to resolve claim issues Front Desk Support: Greet patients and families in a professional and welcoming manner Answer phones and assist with scheduling Support check-in and check-out processes Collaborate with team members to maintain efficient daily flow Assist with patient communication regarding treatment plans and financial policies Qualifications Pediatric dental insurance and billing experience required (2+ years preferred) Candidates with extensive experience in adult dental insurance may also be considered, but should be able to demonstrate some knowledge of pediatric billing codes, frequencies, and age-limits.
