Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting the dentist during procedures, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology and procedures, as well as excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and team members. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for dental procedures. Take and develop X-rays as needed, adhering to safety protocols. Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Manage sterilization of instruments and adhere to aseptic techniques. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office. Support pediatric dentistry procedures by creating a welcoming environment for young patients. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient office operations. Experience Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required; training will be provided. Familiarity with medical terminology related to general dentistry and prosthodontics is advantageous. Experience in pediatric dentistry or as a dental receptionist is a plus. Proficiency in using Dentrix software or similar dental management systems is beneficial. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and safety protocols in a clinical setting.
