Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) - Riverview Pediatric Dentistry Riverview Pediatric Dentistry is a new and growing pediatric dental office looking for a skilled and compassionate Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) to join our team! We are dedicated to creating a fun, positive, and stress-free experience for children and their families, and we’re looking for someone who shares that goal. Position Details: Full-time position 4-day work week Competitive pay based on experience Benefits: Paid holidays Paid Time Off Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to grow with a new and expanding practice Responsibilities: Assist the dentist during pediatric dental procedures, including during sedation Assist with new and recall exams and dental cleanings Perform expanded functions duties in accordance with Florida regulations Take dental radiographs (X-rays) Prepare and maintain treatment rooms Help create a calm and friendly environment for children Provide excellent patient care and communication with parents Qualifications: EFDA certification required (Florida) At least 1 year of dental assisting experience Pediatric experience preferred, but not required Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain shortly after hire) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Positive attitude and ability to work well with children Team player with a strong work ethic If you’re looking to be part of a positive, kid-friendly office where you can grow and make a difference, we’d love to hear from you!
