Responsibilities Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring compliance with infection control protocols and aseptic techniques. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while adhering to safety standards. Utilize EMR systems such as Dentrix and Eaglesoft for patient documentation and medical records management. Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling as necessary. Record vital signs and medical history accurately in patient files. Provide chairside assistance during various dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Educate patients on post-operative care, oral hygiene practices, and treatment plans. Maintain an organized inventory of dental supplies and equipment. Collaborate with the dental team to enhance patient care and clinic efficiency. Experience required: 2 years minimum of experience as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting REQUIRED, preferably within orthodontic or general dentistry. 5 years experience preferred but NOT required Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology 2 years preferred but no required open dental Preferred but NOT required Experience with medical documentation, coding, and records management. Preferred but NOT required Knowledge of HIPAA regulation Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
