Duties Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments following strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Assist dentists during procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with chairside support Take and develop dental X-rays using modern medical imaging equipment, including 3D scanners when applicable Manage patient records accurately within Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems like Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Collect vital signs and medical history information to support comprehensive patient assessments Provide excellent customer service as a Dental Receptionist by scheduling appointments, answering patient inquiries, and managing medical documentation Support general dentistry practices by maintaining a clean, organized clinic environment while adhering to infection control standards and anatomy knowledge Qualifications Prior experience working in a dental clinic or similar healthcare setting is highly preferred Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, X-ray procedures, and vital signs collection Knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding practices for accurate documentation Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or Epic is essential for managing electronic health records efficiently Certification or training in infection control practices and aseptic technique is required Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to dentistry and pediatric dentistry is advantageous Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment supporting four-handed dentistry techniques and collaborating seamlessly with the dental team This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to advance their career in dentistry while making a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.
