Summary: Performs general office, sterilization and chairside duties in support of dental clinic and operatory functions. Minimum Education: Currently enrolled in dental assisting program or has successfully completed a dental assisting program CDA certification preferred Current radiology certificate with Ohio Dental Board Minimum Work Experience: Chairside experience Experience scheduling appointments and collecting patient data Experience with equipment maintenance and inventory and ordering of supplies Experience developing digital x-rays and inputting them into computer Experience with dental software, Dentrix preferred. Required Skills and Knowledge: Excellent oral communication skills with ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients and co-workers. Knowledge of dental terminology and office practice and procedures. Basic computer skills Experience entering patient data, appointments and treatment plans in computer Population Specific Competency: ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity.
