Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for supporting patients and dental professionals. This role involves assisting with patient care, managing clinical procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental practice. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments in accordance with infection control protocols. Assist dentists during various procedures, including chairside assisting, taking X-rays, and applying dental materials. Manage patient records accurately using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Take vital signs and medical histories to support comprehensive patient assessments. Operate dental imaging equipment, including 3D scanners and medical imaging devices, to facilitate diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain a clean, organized, and aseptic environment following infection control standards and anatomy knowledge. Ensure proper documentation of medical records and coding for billing purposes using Dentrix. Experience At least three years Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting , with familiarity in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical coding is essential for accurate documentation. Hands-on experience with Dentrix is required to efficiently manage patient information. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic technique, and anatomy is crucial to maintaining safety standards. Demonstrated ability to perform chairside assisting in four-handed dentistry environments enhances team efficiency. Hands on with fabricating temporary crowns and bridges. Reviewing and educating Dental treatment plans with patients.
