What Makes This Role Different Fast-paced, high-growth environment with constant learning opportunities A role where youâre trusted to take ownership, not just follow instructions Exposure to both clinical and administrative workflows Opportunities to continuously improve systems and patient experience What Your Week Could Look Like Beginning of the Week Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are ready Review upcoming patient schedule and anticipate needs Support patient intake and ensure a smooth start to the week Mid-Week Assist in procedures using 4-handed dentistry Manage sterilization and maintain compliance with safety standards Support patient communication, education, and follow-ups Keep rooms stocked, organized, and running efficiently End of the Week Ensure all records are accurate and up to date Support scheduling and patient flow for the following week Reset and organize clinical spaces Identify any gaps or improvements needed for smoother operations What Weâre Looking For Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong prioritization skills in a fast-moving environment High attention to detail and organization Proactive mindset, someone who anticipates needs before being asked Strong communication and patient care skills Comfort balancing multiple responsibilities throughout the day Responsibilities Welcome customers in the dental office Prepare customers for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and material needed Sterilize instruments according to regulations Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Skills Proven experience as dental assistant Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks like coronal polishing is a plus Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; graduating from dental assistant school is preferred Additional certification or training is an asset (e.g. EFDA) Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: From $20.00 per hour Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee discount Paid time off Experience: Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred) License/Certification: X-Ray Certification (Preferred) Work Location: In person
