Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use. Assist dentists during various procedures such as restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with precision and professionalism. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced imaging technology including 3D scanners while maintaining strict infection control protocols. Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy in medical documentation and coding. Monitor vital signs and assess patient comfort throughout treatment to promote a positive experience. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, greeting patients as a dental receptionist, and managing medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Support infection control practices by adhering to aseptic techniques and maintaining a clean, safe clinical environment. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is REQUIRED. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting and taking X-rays is essential. Familiarity with dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology enhances your ability to communicate effectively within the team. Experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is Preferred; knowledge of Epic or other medical documentation platforms is a plus. Understanding of infection control standards and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety at all times. Ability to perform medical imaging procedures accurately while maintaining patient comfort.
