Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, following best practices in infection control and aseptic technique Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current dental conditions to inform treatment plans Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure efficiency and patient comfort Take and interpret medical imaging such as X-rays while maintaining proper radiation safety protocols Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing oral health Maintain accurate medical records and documentation review in compliance with HIPAA regulations and dental office standards Support the dental team with chairside assisting, managing medical records, and ensuring a clean, organized clinical environment Requirements Valid Dental Hygiene license with current registration in the state of practice Proficiency with Dentrix for documentation and recordkeeping is a plus, but we can also train on Dentrix if needed Experience in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is highly preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control procedures Excellent communication skills to educate patients effectively and collaborate seamlessly with the dental team Join us if you are passionate about providing top-tier dental care!
