Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring all equipment is sterilized and ready for use. Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorations, extractions, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Take and develop dental X-rays using advanced medical imaging technology such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring all medical documentation is complete and compliant with HIPAA standards. Perform chairside assisting with aseptic technique, vital signs measurement, and patient comfort management throughout procedures. Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and preventive practices to promote oral health awareness. Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and acting as a dental receptionist to ensure smooth clinic operations. Experience Prior experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including X-ray processing, infection control protocols, and chairside support. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft for managing medical records and documentation. Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and anatomy to effectively assist with complex procedures. Experience with infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and maintaining a sterile environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while demonstrating excellent communication skills with patients of all ages.
