Job Summary We are seeking a bilingual dedicated and energetic Dental Hygienist to join our vibrant dental team. In this vital role, you will deliver exceptional patient care by performing thorough dental cleanings, assessments, and education to promote optimal oral health. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to present treatment plans. Assist the dentist when needed during various procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient experience. Take dental imaging such as X-rays and photos. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster long-term oral health habits. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using written and EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Sota, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Review documentation for accuracy, update medical histories, and assist with treatment presentation. Experience Prior experience working in general dentistry dentistry environments is highly preferred. Demonstrated proficiency with dental assisting tools, chairside assisting techniques, dental terminology, treatment planning and presentation. Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dental procedures. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft and Sota. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and medical records management. Previous dental office or clinic experience that highlights your ability to thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining attention to detail.
