Duties Greet patients warmly, verify appointment details, and facilitate patient intake processes with professionalism and enthusiasm Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and handle patient inquiries with excellent phone etiquette and clear communication Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and process claims using systems such as Dentrix Collect payments, perform medical collections, and assist with billing procedures utilizing medical coding including CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 codes, and Medicare guidelines Maintain accurate dental records and electronic health records (EHR) using EMR systems like eClinicalWorks and other health information management software Review documentation for completeness and accuracy; update patient files ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Support clinic operations by managing appointment scheduling, patient flow, and front desk responsibilities with professionalism and efficiency Requirements Proven experience in a dental or medical office environment with strong clerical skills and familiarity with dental terminology and medical billing practices Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft Knowledge of medical coding including CPT, ICD-9/10 coding standards; experience with medical billing and insurance verification essential Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite; ability to navigate multiple software platforms seamlessly Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation review and office management tasks Exceptional customer service skills coupled with professional phone etiquette and effective communication abilities Ability to handle sensitive health information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines; bilingual abilities are a plus Previous clinic or dental office experience is highly desirable; familiarity with dental terminology and clinic workflows preferred Capable of multitasking efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude Join our team to make a meaningful difference in patientsâ lives by providing friendly support and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental practice.
