Overview Join our wonderful dental team as a Dental Receptionist. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience from appointment scheduling to check-out. Your expertise in medical or dental administrative support and familiarity with dental terminology will help streamline operations and uphold the highest standards of patient care. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a friendly, professional environment dedicated to improving oral health. Hours are Tuesdays 10AM - 6PM & Thursdays 9AM - 5PM. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly and manage patient intake with professionalism and efficiency Schedule appointments accurately using dental practice management software Dentrix Verify insurance coverage, perform insurance eligibility checks, and handle insurance verifications. Collect payments, process billing, and perform dental collection activities in compliance with HIPAA regulations Maintain accurate and organized dental records Answer multi-line phone systems with excellent phone etiquette and assist patients with inquiries Manage front desk operations including filing, data entry, and maintaining patient files in electronic health record (EHR) systems. Ensure compliance with health information management standards and HIPAA privacy rules Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or Dental Receptionist in a clinical setting with dental office experience preferred Knowledge of dental terminology, dental coding, and insurance procedures including Medicare and Medicaid is preferred Proficiency in Dentrix is a plus Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office suite; typing speed of at least 10-key for efficient data entry Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to handle sensitive information discreetly Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail Strong organizational skills for filing, documentation review, and office management tasks Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering outstanding patient care!
