Job Overview We are a General Dentistry and Orthodontics office seeking a dedicated and experienced Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, detail-oriented, and a team-player motivated to work in a growing dental practice! Duties Assist the dentist during various general dental & orthodontic procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Prepare and organize dental instruments, materials, and operatory for patient care. Take digital dental X-rays, following all safety protocols. Equipment sterilization and restocking in operatories. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care. Inventory and organize all dental supplies. Become proficient in assisting the doctor with charting in Dentrix Ascend dental software. Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards Support front desk as needed with appointment scheduling and collecting payments. Requirements Prior experience (at least 1 year) as a Dental Assistant in a clinical setting with knowledge of general dentistry practices (orthodontics a plus) Knowledge of dental instruments, procedures, and terminology. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations & infection control procedures. Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely and effectively while maintaining patient comfort X-ray certification/license.
