Permanent Dental Hygienist Job in Eugene, OR

Imagine walking into a bright, welcoming community dental clinic where patients know you by name and every day brings a mix of connection, care, and purpose. As a Dental Hygienist here, youâre not just cleaning teethâyouâre helping people gain confidence in their smiles and take ownership of their health. Your mornings might start with a familiar face â a patient whoâs worked hard to improve their oral care since their last visit. You take their vitals, review their health history, and walk them through their progress. Between preventive cleanings, youâll perform scaling and root planing, take and review x-rays, and apply sealants or fluoride treatments when needed. With each visit, youâre reinforcing healthy habits and empowering your patients to maintain their progress long after they leave your chair. Youâll collaborate closely with the dentists and other hygienists, sharing insights and ideas in a supportive, team-based environment. Hygienists here are trusted professionals â skilled at spotting early signs of disease, confident in administering local anesthesia or nitrous oxide (with the proper permit), and thorough in documentation and care planning. This role also offers variety â some days include educating families on preventive care, fabricating bleaching trays or mouthguards, or helping develop patient education programs that make oral health approachable and achievable. To thrive here, youâll need an Oregon dental hygiene license, CPR/First Aid certification, and strong technical skills in radiology and clinical care. Most importantly, you bring a warm, professional demeanor and genuine compassion for people from all walks of life. Bilingual candidates, especially those who speak Spanish, are encouraged to apply. This is a full-time position with consistent weekday hours, a collaborative atmosphere, and room to grow. If youâre looking for a place where your clinical skills meet community impact â where every smile you help restore is another reminder of why you chose this field â this could be the opportunity for you.
