Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our dynamic dental team. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including restorations, extractions, root canals, and prosthodontics with precision and efficiency. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up supplies, and ensuring all equipment such as X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and medical imaging devices are ready for use. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring adherence to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols. Manage patient records using EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft while maintaining compliance with HIPAA standards for medical documentation and records management. Perform vital signs assessments and monitor patient comfort throughout procedures to ensure safety and well-being. Support the dental reception area by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and managing patient inquiries with professionalism as a dental receptionist. Uphold aseptic techniques and infection control standards to prevent cross-contamination within the clinic environment. Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding to accurately document procedures and assist in medical recordkeeping. Collaborate seamlessly in a four-handed dentistry setup to enhance efficiency during treatments while maintaining high standards of care. Assist with pediatric dentistry procedures by creating a friendly atmosphere that eases patient anxiety for our younger patients. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with familiarity in general dentistry practices. Hands-on experience with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft is highly preferred. Knowledge of infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures is essential. Experience supporting specialized fields such as prosthodontics or endodontics is advantageous. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray units and 3D scanners confidently. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, medical terminology, and medical coding practices. Prior experience working with pediatric patients is a plus; familiarity with Epic or other electronic health record systems is beneficial. Join our team where your skills will make a real difference!
