Dental Assistant and Sterilization Technician - 1447 Dental Associates - York, PA

1447 Dental Associates (1447dental.com), known to be a caring and compassionate approach to dental care, has an immediate opening for a full-time Dental Assistant and Sterilization Technician. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years’ prior dental assisting experience, outstanding customer service, attention to detail and organizational skills. High school diploma or equivalent required. Excellent computer skills a must. You would be joining a group of employees that work well together. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: · Chair side assistant to dentist and follows through on cases · Sets up and disinfects room prior to each patient’s appointment · Takes digital scan of patients for specific dental procedures · Takes impressions and pours models, as needed · Assists with keeping sterilization room running smoothly ensuring instruments are clean and ready for treatment to include: --Clean, disinfect, and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following established protocols and guidelines. --Operate and maintain sterilization equipment, including autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and other cleaning systems. --Monitor sterilization cycles to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards. · Weekly and monthly maintenance of all dental equipment · Responsible for air purifier · Makes recall appointments for crown/impression dental procedures · Makes bleach trays · X-ray certification required Hours of work: Monday 7:30AM-5PM, Tuesday 6:30AM-5PM, Wednesday 7:30-5PM, Thursday 6:30AM-5PM, Friday 6:30AM-1PM with one scheduled day off.
