Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, performing dental cleanings, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional oral health services. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and aseptic environment. Duties Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess patients' oral health. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in the administration of local anesthesia as needed. Perform medical imaging procedures, including X-rays, to help diagnose dental issues. Monitor and record vital signs of patients before and during procedures. Maintain an organized and sterile work environment by adhering to aseptic techniques. Collaborate with dentists and dental assistants to provide comprehensive patient care. Document patient treatment plans and progress accurately in the electronic health record system. Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies. Requirements Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Experience in a dental office setting is preferred. Proficiency in patient care techniques and four-handed dentistry. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Familiarity with assisting in various dental procedures. Strong ability to perform medical imaging accurately. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
