Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct thorough patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Assist with chairside procedures such as applying sealants, fluoride treatments, and taking digital radiographs (medical imaging) Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix Follow strict infection control protocols utilizing aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety and comply with HIPAA regulations Support general dentistry procedures by preparing treatment areas and assisting dentists during procedures like restorations or extractions Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a busy dental clinic or office environment Familiarity with dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review processes Proficiency with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and working with pediatric patients is a plus Strong understanding of infection control standards, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques Ability to perform vital signs measurement and medical imaging accurately Excellent patient care skills with a focus on pediatrics and general dentistry settings Join us in creating healthier smiles every day!
