Novi Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is a solo practitioner office committed to providing exceptional patient care in a welcoming environment. We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Medical/Dental Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. In this vital role, you will serve as the first point of contact for patients, managing appointments and answering phone calls. Job tasks will include, but not limited to: Manage multi-line phone systems, schedule appointments, and coordinate patient flow efficiently. Collect payments and perform minor medical billing tasks including medical collections and documentation review. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations for health information management. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to update patient information and document interactions. Qualifications Knowledge of EMR/EHR systems. Familiarity with medical and dental terminology, CPT and CDT coding a plus but not required. Ability to verify insurance benefits accurately for Medicare and other providers Excellent phone etiquette with multi-line phone system proficiency and strong customer service skills Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and health information management software Experience with dental terminology and clinic operations is highly desirable Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in filing, documentation review, and office tasks Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism and efficiency Join us to be part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering top-tier oral health care!
