Job Summary We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Dental Hygienist to join our team and help create a comfortable, caring experience for every patient who walks through our doors. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Assist with chairside procedures in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays while adhering to all safety protocols and aseptic techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, treatment plans, and post-procedure care to foster ongoing oral health. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations using EMR systems like Eaglesoft Support infection control procedures by sterilizing instruments, managing dental supplies, and practicing proper aseptic techniques. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current CPR certification. Proven experience in dental office settings, preferably with pediatric dentistry exposure. Proficiency in dental terminology, medical coding, and documentation review for accurate recordkeeping. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of anatomy, medical terminology, infection control standards, and HIPAA compliance. Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs effectively and communicate clearly.
