Why you'll love it here: Private practice feel Monday-Thursday schedule 3-day weekends every week a culture that values respect, growth, and teamwork Responsibilities Assist dentists during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all tools and materials are prepared and sterilized according to aseptic techniques. Take dental X-rays and operate advanced medical imaging equipment such as 3D scanners to support accurate diagnoses. Must have active radiology license. Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix or Denticon, ensuring all medical documentation complies with HIPAA regulations. Provide chairside assistance by managing vital signs, patient comfort, and explaining procedures using clear dental terminology. Support infection control protocols by maintaining a sterile environment and following strict aseptic techniques to prevent cross-contamination. Collaborate with the dental team to perform four-handed dentistry efficiently, enhancing patient experience and treatment outcomes. Greet patients as a dental receptionist when needed, scheduling appointments and managing patient flow seamlessly. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental assisting procedures. At least 1-2 years dental assistant experience. Proficiency with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Denticon Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy related to oral health. Ability to operate X-ray machines, 3D scanners, and other medical imaging devices safely and effectively. Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization protocols in accordance with OSHA standards.
