Our office is looking for a highly motivated orthodontic assistant. We offer considerable on-the-job training . What You'll Do: Deliver orthodontic clinical care (such as arch wire changes, assist with placing and removing orthodontic brackets, removal of orthodontic appliances, etc.) Lab duties such as instrument sterilization, pouring & trimming plaster models, fabricating clear retainer appliances Educate patients on orthodontic and appliance care Take x-rays using a digital x-ray machine & computer with specialized software Keep clinic area clean, stocked and organized Clinical tray preparation for orthodontic procedures Maintain accurate entries into patients’ chart Maintaining proper HIPAA and OSHA/MIOSHA compliance at all times Cross-train for basic clerical duties such as making appointments Dental and/or Orthodontic Assistant experience preferred, also willing to train the right candidate. Hourly rate to reflect experience. Independent self-study of orthodontics will be expected as a part of our in-depth orthodontic assistant training program. Working days: 8:30AM-5:00PM on Monday, Tuesday, & Wednesday; 9:00AM-1:00PM on Thursday. Office is closed Friday, Saturday & Sunday.
