Overview: Our general dental office is looking for a compassionate, motivated hygienist to join our caring dental team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a crucial role in providing quality oral healthcare to our patients. We are looking for a long term dental hygienist to work from 8:00-5:00 Monday-Wednesday. Our office has a daily one hour lunch break. A preference to having previous experience but would be willing to hire a new graduate. Our office uses Dentrix Ascend software. We are located in SE Grand Rapids. Candidates must have diploma in dental hygiene, have current license, and be CPR certified. We look forward to hearing from you! Responsibilities: - Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth - Conduct oral health assessments and develop individualized treatment plans - Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide preventive care instructions - Take dental radiographs (x-rays) - Administer nitrous oxide as needed - Maintain accurate patient records using dental practice management systems (Dentrix Ascend) - Follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment - Adhere to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Skills: - Proficiency in dental practice management systems for accurate record keeping - Familiarity with x-ray techniques used in dentistry - Strong understanding of infection control protocols and procedures - Solid knowledge of dental anatomy and oral health conditions We offer competitive compensation and benefits packages including retirement plans, vacation pay, holiday pay, dental treatment discount.
