Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and preventive care strategies Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques for efficiency Take digit dental radiographs while ensuring proper aseptic technique and infection control standards Maintain accurate medical records, document treatment notes, and review documentation for completeness and accuracy Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, including vital signs and overall well-being during visits Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice in a clinical setting Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Curve Hero is highly preferred Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control protocols, and HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Experience in pediatric dentistry or working with pediatric patients is a plus Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate effectively and empathetically Familiarity with medical terminology, medical records management, and documentation review processes Prior experience in general dentistry or dental clinic environments demonstrating proficiency in chairside assisting and dental assisting techniques Join our team to provide outstanding dental care in a dynamic environment where your skills will be valued!
